SHANGHAI, April 21(SMM) - The average spot prices of EMM in main producing areas rose by 50 yuan/mt to 16050 yuan/mt compared to yesterday, and the average prices of FOB rose by $50/mt to $2,550-2,650/mt. The negotiation price range for EMM spot market rose slightly by 50-100 yuan/mt compared with the beginning of the week, in which the quotations of manganese plants in Guizhou and the surrounding area were not willing to be lower than 16,000 yuan/mt in the second half of the week, influencing by the ore supply and rising costs of other raw materials. Except for the main producing areas, the spot price range of manganese factory moved around 16,200 yuan/mt, while the procurement of high-priced sources was moderate in the terminal except for rigid demand. SMM believe that the game of supply and demand is again highlighted with limited compromise of manufacturers.
