It means you can dry clothes without turning on expensive heating

Dunelm is selling a heated airer for £75 and it costs just 6p per hour to run. The Two Tier Heated Airer is low energy, only using 220 watts, and has 13m of drying space.

The Dunelm heated airer is sturdy, being made from aluminium, meaning it can hold up to 10kg of washing. It also folds away into a vertical design, making it perfect for small spaces.

Even with the energy price cap rising in October, the heated airer will only cost around 7.5p per hour. It’s popular with its buyers too, receiving almost all five star reviews.

One review said: “Good purchase for drying clothes, will save on using my tumble dryer and excellent free delivery service. Would recommend this product.”

Another advised: “You will have to give it a few hours to dry your washing, cover your dryer with a duvet cover or a sheet to hold in the heat and don’t overload it. It uses very little electric so that’s another bonus for the winter months, I’m happy with it.”

A third commented that it doubles as a small heater. They said: “Really good but you have to move clothes around to ensure they are completely dry. I would recommend it though. It also takes the chill off the room it's in.”

The electric dryer stands at 74cm tall and 101cm wide, not that size is an issue as it can be folded away so small. At a time where a lot of people are struggling to afford heating costs, it’s a good time to invest in a heated airer .

You can buy the Dunelm Two Tier Heated Airer online for £75.
